This face-to-face workshop equips health workers with essential knowledge on syphilis, building health champions to support our communities.
The workshop is targeted at Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers, nurses, midwives, GPs and allied health workers in the following sectors: sexual health, mental health, alcohol and other drugs, maternal and child health, antenatal care and emergency services.
Participants will receive practical tools and strategies to apply in their workplaces and have the opportunity to network with peers and colleagues across the sector. Sessions include epidemiology, presentation and symptoms, transmission, screening, testing, prevention and contact tracing.
