Palliative and end of life wound care is complex, dynamic, and constantly evolving to balance the individual needs of the person. These wounds can be extremely challenging and frequently have a profound impact on the person with the wound, family and significant others, caregivers, and health professionals. The focus of care typically shifts away from traditional wound care where healing and wound closure are the goals to promoting comfort and dignity, relieving suffering and optimising quality of life.
This workshop is specifically for nurses working in residential and community aged care services in the Gold Coast region.
